About Tony Mizzell..

Tony Mizzell lives in Brandon Hills behind the VA Hospital with his wife, Dr. Hope Mizzell and his two children, Sybil (9) and T.J. (6). They have lived there for over 13 years.

Tony and Hope are both active with Meadowfield Elementary where both of their children attend. The Mizzells actively attend Shandon Baptist Church.

Tony is employed by Chernoff Newman as Vice President of Interactive Marketing, where he leads digital marketing strategies and execution for the agency and its clients.

Tony Mizzell served on Richland County Council from 1999 - 2006 and served as Chairman of County Council in 2005 and 2006.

During that time, Tony led the effort to pass the one cent Local Option Sales Tax, which has provided hundreds of millions of dollars in property tax relief to residents and small businesses in the City of Columbia and Richland County. And under his leadership, Richland County received the distinguished All American Community Award.

Tony serves the community in various ways. Currently, he is active in the Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce where he participates on the Issues Committee.

Tony's soccer team playing at Owens Field ParkOn Saturday mornings and on the weekdays, you can find Tony at Owens Field Park where he enjoys coaching and watching his children partipate in baseball and soccer.

Tony is very involved in his children's lives where he has been coaching youth soccer and baseball for the past 5 years with the Columbia Downtown YMCA.

Tony enjoys working with youth and helping them develop team building skills that lead to greater self confidence and learning how to work with others as they grow and mature in life.
